Rachel Ropiha

Rachel has extensive experience in local government, in particular working with Māori. Her experience includes time with Northland Regional and the Far North District Councils.  Currently, Rachel is Kaiwhakatere ki Te Taitokerau | Regional Navigator for Northland for Te Manatu Mo Te Taiao, Ministry for the Environment.  She has comprehensive knowledge of the mechanics of local government that she uses to enable Māori with local and central government processes.  Rachel is enjoying working on the implementation of the new resource management system and Te Mana o Te Wai.
