Tui Qauqau Te Paa
Tēnā koutou katoa. Ko whangatauatia te maunga, ko Te Ohaki te Whare Tupuna, Ko Roma te Marae, Ko Wairoa te awa, Ko Karirikura te Moana, Ko Tinana te waka, Ko Ephraim Te Paa raua ko Hariata (Okena Hapakuku) Te Paa oku tūpuna, Ko George raua ko Erina oku mātua, Ko Te Rarawa te iwi, Ko Tui Qauqau Te Paa ahau.
I studied at University of Otago BA , Tch Dip, PGDip. My career pathway since leaving University has been teaching in the primary sector and research at Otago University. I am also a certified Environmental Commissioner. I am passionate about the Taiao and have a personal and professional dedication for caring for Papatūānuku and Tangaroa. I have been involved in many research projects within my rohe. I am also a trustee on Te Runanga o Te Rarawa and represent TROT on Te Hiku Conservation Board. I also attend the Te Hiku Fisheries Forum. I returned home to Ahipara to live in 2013. I am a mother of four beautiful tamariki and two moko; my greatest achievement.
