Tessa Thomson

Ko Tessa Thomson tōku ingoa, he uri tēnei nō Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga me Ngāti Tūkorehe. I am in the final stages studying towards my Masters of Marine Biology at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. The focus of my thesis has been to tell the story of the toheroa in the Horowhenua. I have explored the history of the population and now am looking as to how the population that was once abundant in the Horowhenua can be returned. I’m looking forward to delving into wānanga with you all and brainstorming how we can create positive outcomes for this taonga species.
