Shari Gallop
Shari (Te Rarawa, Ngāti Maru) is a coastal climate chance specialist at Pattle Delamore Partners (PDP) with broad national and international experience in interdisciplinary projects. This includes physical coastal oceanography, nature based solutions, coastal hazards such as flooding and sea level rise impacts, geomorphology and morphodynamics, estuarine processes and restoration, and blue carbon in restored coastal wetlands. A key focus of her work is bridging Te Ao Māori (the Māori world) and mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) with western science, to understand coastal dynamics and plan for climate change. Much of Shari’s work crosses boundaries between science, engineering, social science and te ao Māori.
