Rob Herewini
Tēnā tātou, ko Robert Herewini tōku ingoa. My whānau has lived on Te Whāro o Oneroa-a-Tōhe for many generations. Our whakapapa can date right back to te waka tinana and many other waka and iwi in Te Tai Tokerau. My marae, Korou Koretake, is the only marae on the whole stretch of Te Whāro o Oneroa-a-Tōhe . We have gathered kai from there since our people have arrived. I have been taught to do so from my tupuna and I continue to teach the next generation to this day. Te Whāro o Oneroa-a-Tōhe means everything to our people. He is I and I am he.
