Raymond Subritzky

Raymond was the Chair of Te Aupouri Māori Trust Board through the Treaty Settlement Claims period. He was involved in multiple undertakings for his iwi including work with Te Hiku o Te Ika Iwi Development Trust.  Raymond has been a teacher for many years and is currently Kaumatua / Pouhuia Kahukura at Kaitaia College.

Caring for Te Oneroa a Tōhe is a high priority for Raymond and Te Aupouri, with the experience of establishing a Taiapure at Mangonui proving that mana whenua driven kaitiakitanga with community can be transformative.
