Waata TePania was the claimant for the protection and return of Te Oneroa-a-Tōhe to Iwi and Hapū because the crown was not upholding their responsibility of protection and I am his mokopuna. I have always pledged to follow in the footsteps all involved in that claim of 1957 which was actually won then wrongfully apposed and won by crown appeal not by right.
