Karen Lucich

I’m Karen Lucich, née Buckingham. I work for Summit Forests NZ Limited as an Environmental Planner. I enjoy being able to support the sustainable management of the forest estate.

I’m from Takahue, Kaitaia and went to Kaitaia College before studying at Massey University-Palmerston North (BSc-Zoology). My husband is from Te Maire, Dargaville and we have chosen to raise our family in Takahue, with both our children currently attending Kaitaia College.

The forests, wetlands, rivers, and beaches of Te Hiku are a major influence in our hauora and I enjoy being in, on, or under the water. I appreciate this opportunity to come together to support the prosperity of our environment and our community.
