Emma Newcombe

Ko Emma tōku ingoa, he tangata tiriti ahau.

I am a marine ecologist living in Te Tauihu o Te Waka-a-Māui. I feel lucky to work alongside Te Rarawa whanau and others with a vision to restore taonga marine species.

I have worked as a consultant for over a decade, much of that time addressing the effects aquaculture and other human activities can have on the marine environment. I am also a diver and kayaker who loves the sea.

I have a passion to see our marine ecosystems recover from the degradation they have experienced.
